Jo Birch is a reclusive forensic anthropologist who powers her neuroses with a gas guzzler of a truck, black caffeine and double layers of latex at crime scenes. She prefers the tidiness of dry bones to the messy interactions that come with real life. When it comes to humans who are still breathing, Jo finds the best defense is a dead one.
Fleeing her past, she shields herself with her science until four dead co-eds land on her analysis tables. When the girls remain nameless, she forces herself to reengage the world at large in a search for their identities. Complicating the matter are two attractive and dissimilar men, both with secrets of their own, and a boss breathing down her neck for her to finish her doctorate. Unfortunately, her transformation comes with choices, and the unconventional scientist’s life may depend on the ones she makes.

I love Jo, already. Yeah!

Love the pic!
Jo is a fantastic character who will take you far. I only wish she didn’t make me feel like such a professional slacker at times — LOL
